The American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR) is calling February National Cancer Prevention Month. You have may have seen an increase in your feed, in commercials, in the news, it's all for EDUCATION. Of course, there are many factors that go into why someone is diagnosed with cancer but this month the AICR is focusing in on things that they believe increase the chances of getting cancer.
"AICR estimates that approximately one-third of cases of the most common cancers in the U.S. could be prevented by eating healthy, being active, and staying lean. That's an estimated 374,000 cases of cancer in the United States that would never happen."
This quote is from the home page of AICR and that statement is astounding. Being educated on what you put in your mouth and what you do with your body, is incredibly important. They have a Facebook page set up for Cancer Prevention Month, be sure to check it out:
Here is the link to their webpage. It has educational and life saving information-definitely worth the time to read what they have researched.
It takes 5-10 minute a day to continue educating yourself on good food choices and lifestyle choices, as well as potentially save your life or someone you love's life. Click on those links!
