I understand what you are going through. You are not alone. I've been there, and we will get you through this.

When I was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer, I felt like I was swallowed by a deep dark illness. Mama Bear was there for me from the first appointment through to the last treatment. She worked with me to be able to understand my diagnosis, was there for me (and had some great tips) during treatment but most of all got me together once it was all over. You come out changed and she was able to use my cancer as a catalyst to my new life.  I've never felt stronger or more grounded. I could not have come out so strong without her guidance and her determination to never give up on me.

I believe there are three stages on the cancer path.  Diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. It does not matter where you are on your cancer path, I am available to work with you through any or all of the stages. Together we work to be able to take one step at a time.

Cancer Coaching is available to any family member, loved one, caregiver, or friend of the person who has been diagnosed. I understand that a cancer diagnosis affects the whole family and support network.

Going through a cancer treatment is one of the hardest things you may ever face and you shouldn’t do it alone. You need to have someone there for you who understands what you are going through and will support you on your road to recovery.

Life after cancer, what now? Cancer changes you. Once you've completed your treatment, it's not over.  Your mind and your body have changed, and now it's time to start focusing on your new life. You survived the hardest part, but there is more work to be done.

Donita had just gone through treatment herself and found out she was allergic to her wigs.  She so kindly gave me her wigs when I was in treatment.  I will never forget that gesture because I did not have enough money for wigs.  She helped me find some foods that actually tasted good and helped me with one of my friends who I felt like wasn’t supporting me.  I talked to her quite a bit to figure out how to handle the situation and it worked out great.  She’s my earthly angel.

I am a mom, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, yogi, and friend, but most of all I am a BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR.  I have walked this walk, talked this talk and want to share all I have learned with everyone I can.  I feel that my biggest credential is being a cancer survivor.  As a long time certified teacher I wanted to increase my knowledge base and became a  Certified Life Coach and a Certified Cancer Coach to be as effective as possible while serving those with or affected by cancer.

I am available in person in south Florida, by phone, Skype, FaceTime, or you name it and we can make it work.

Working with patients and caregivers, I focus on how to maximize surviving cancer and thriving beyond it. From the essentials of life -what they eat, drink, think and breathe, how they rest and how they’re active to how to handle the mountain of information you receive, uncertainty, anxiety and stress. Together, we will navigate our way through treatment and work as a team to transform adversity into opportunity. Our goal is to make the best of the life we were given.

Don't even know where to start? We work together to create a health plan so you have exactly what you need to convert over to the after cancer life.

Have some of your relationships changed? Cancer has a way of bringing out the best and worst in people. Together we address relationship challenges

and work towards

a positive resolve.

Does a full day at work seem like a week? You are not alone, cancer changes our brain and how it thinks and responds. That’s okay. We can work together to create a course of action.

Were  you the caregiver for a cancer patient? A caregiver is a stressful job and you may be feeling some feelings that you need to work through too. We can work together to smoothly transition between diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.
